Colton Beardmore, a wide receiver, was called up to the varsity in 2009, his junior year, and was assigned this number. He became a starter in 2010 and was a favorite target for his best friend, Colton Huntsman.
Colton is the oldest of the Beardmore siblings; his brother, Connor, was a linebacker in 2012, and his sister, Cami, is currently a cheerleader. After Cy Woods, Colton successfully walked on at Texas A&M.

Adam Smith, a cornerback in 2011, was the next player to wear 9.
After getting a late-season promotion as a freshman (the first freshman to be called up during the regular season) in 2011, in which he was deployed as a running back against Cy Springs, Nick Hooper became a full-time varsity player in 2012, his sophomore year. He was a starting wide receiver that season. In 2013, Nick was given the reins to the offense, and in 2014, that offense he was in charge of scored seemingly at will.
Nick was one of the toughest players on the field and his playing style was reminiscent of a guy who played quarterback and was a teammate of mine. Nick was a 2-time 1st-team all-district player for District 17-5A in 2013 and District 17-6A in 2014. In 2014, he was named the Offensive MVP of District 17-6A and was also a finalist for the Touchdown Club of Houston's Player of the Year Award.
Nicholas Hooper left Cy Woods as one of its most decorated football players and left his mark in its record books....
- 2nd-most passing yards in a season (2,749, 2014)
- 2nd-most passing yards in a career (4,809)
- Most passing yards in a game (448 vs. Langham Creek, 2014)
- 2nd-most passing touchdowns in Cy Woods history (37)
- 2nd-most rushing touchdowns in a career (36)
- Most rushing touchdowns in a single season (22, 2014)
- Most rushing attempts in a game, a season, and a career (34/224/490)
- Most total yards in a game (603 vs. Langham Creek, 2014)

Dylan Bert, a cornerback, wore #9 in 2015. Semaj Trahan, one of the backup quarterbacks, wore #9 in 2016, his sophomore year. He also played a couple of games as a cornerback before transferring to Cy Falls.
Jackson Jones made the varsity in 2017, his sophomore year, and he took over as the starting quarterback early on that season. He entered 2018 as the starter but an injury and Carson Danner's subsequent emergence relegated him to a backup role and a few appearances as a wide receiver. Jackson regained his starting spot in 2019 and made up for lost time as he was a 2nd-team All-District 14-6A selection.
Jackson is the middle of three brothers and the third of the four Jones siblings; his older brother Jake was a cornerback in 2013 and 2014. His older sister, Jaycie, was a cheerleader at Cy Woods, and finally, Josh, the youngest, is a junior safety.
