Cory Barcus, a starting safety in 2008, was the first Wildcat to wear 26. Against Georgetown in the first round of the playoffs, he delivered a huge hit that resulted in a loss of yards and forced a 4th down as the Eagles drove for one last shot at the win. Cory was a 2nd-team All-District 15-5A selection.

Another safety, Stephen Bell, wore #26 in 2009. He was one of the main backups at both safety spots.

Egbezien "EB" Obiomon, a running back, was given this number when he was promoted to the varsity as a junior in 2011. He wasn't shifty like Trent or the all-around threat that Sam was, but he was a physical, hard-nosed runner. EB earned second-team All-District 17-5A honors after leading the Wildcats in rushing touchdowns as a senior in 2012.
EB played for one season at West Point I remember a conversation I had with his father in which he told me that EB had ambitions on joining the military. His father, Sam, is a CPA. His brother, Ehiguese, played for the Wildcats as an offensive lineman. His sister, Jackie, competed for the Wildcats in track.

Raynard "R.J." Harmon, a running back, was given #26 upon his promotion to the varsity in 2013, his sophomore year. After getting his feet wet that season, he broke out as the feature back in 2014. R.J. switched to 24 in 2014. More on him when I get to 24.

With R.J. switching to 24 in 2014, there would be a new Wildcat wearing the 26 jersey: Clarence "C.J." Jones. After an impressive showing on the freshman A-team, C.J. made the varsity in 2014, his sophomore year, and broke out with a huge first season. In a way, he was the most decorated player in the district.

Brandt Redden, a safety, made the varsity in 2013, his sophomore year, but he only dressed for the first game and was mainly a JV player that season. He did not play in 2014, but returned to play as a senior in 2015. Cory Tomchesson, a linebacker, wore 26 in 2016.
Jackson Turnbow, a linebacker, made the varsity in 2017, his junior year and became a starter around mid-season. A two-year letterman, he earned second-team All-District 14-6A honors as a senior.
Jackson's father, Chris, is the co-offensive line coach at Cy Woods and has served the Wildcats in that capacity since the school opened. Coach Turnbow is also a history teacher at Cy Woods. His mother, Jennifer, has also taught at the school since it opened and she is the head of the science department. His younger sister, Reagan, is a student athletic trainer. His uncle (by marriage), Kelly Klare, played at Jersey Village and Oklahoma State and also coaches the offensive line at Cy Woods, following a stint at Cy Lakes. Coach Klare also teaches history.

Jeshurun "JJ" Williams switched to #26 for his first full season on the varsity as he served as Trayse Holmes' backup at B-back.
