Cy Woods All-Time Roster: Number 7

Alex Riley, a cornerback in 2008, was the first Wildcat to wear 7. He was one of the primary backups in the secondary.

After making the first team as a junior, Seth Crosby, a wide receiver, became a starter in 2009 and switched to 7. He was lost midway through the season due to an injury.

After breaking out as a junior in 2010, Gary Tesch switched to 7 in 2011. He served as a team captain that season and was the top target for Gabe West and Nate German as he caught 10 touchdown passes, which is a Cy Woods single-season record that he shares with Fredrick Anderson, who accomplished this in 2010. Gary is Cy Woods' all-time leader in receiving touchdowns with 14 and is third all-time with 1,062 receiving yards.

Gary was also a standout centerfielder for the Wildcat baseball team, and that was what he did after Cy Woods; he played at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012-15. Two of his younger brothers also played for Cy Woods; Taylor was a receiver from 2012-14 and Jake played as a running back from 2016-18.

Taylor Tesch, a starting wide receiver in 2014, switched to #7 for his senior season. Taylor was a late-season callup as a sophomore in 2012 and wore #82. When he became a full-time varsity player in 2013, he wore #6, which makes him the first player in Cy Woods history to wear three numbers in three years. Taylor also ran for the Wildcats; he competed in the 4x100, the 200, and the 4x200.

His older brother, Gary, played as a wide receiver from 2010-11. Their younger brother, Jake, was also a wide receiver who also played running back.

Luis Reyes, the kicker, switched to #7 in 2015. That season, he broke Andrew Klink's record for most points scored by a kicker in Cy Woods history.

Jacob Tesch is the third Tesch brother to wear this number. He wore #15 as a sophomore in 2016. Jake busted out as a senior as he recorded 500 rushing and receiving yards and combined to score 15 touchdowns on his way to earning first-team District 14-6A honors. He was always described as being the fastest and most elusive out of his brothers.
