Corey Haynes, a wide receiver in 2008, was the first Wildcat to wear this number.
Ja'Derrick James, a hard-hitting cornerback in 2009, was the next player to wear 16. He moved to Cy Woods from Louisiana before sophomore year, moved back, then came back to Cy Woods as a senior.

Vince Aleman, a linebacker, wore 16 in 2010. Vince was a member of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. He passed away unexpectedly in February 2017.

Shaan Bala, the next player to wear 16, was a defensive end in 2011.

Cayden Sessions, a wide receiver in 2014, was the most recent Wildcat to wear 16.

Sam Landingham made the Opening Day roster as a junior. He did not appear after the Cy Ranch game, but he returned for the 2016 season and wore #11.
Matt Ficalora took Sam's place when he was called up for the game against Cy Creek. Matt retained this number in 2016.
