Cy Woods All-Time Roster: Number 12

12!

Ryan Vogler, a backup quarterback and team captain in 2008, was the first Wildcat to wear 12.

The next player to wear 12 was Michael Stewart, a starting cornerback in 2009. Mike was a genius. That's probably an understatement. He's one of the brightest people I know. He also ran for the Wildcats, specializing in the 110m and the 300m hurdles. He was also part of the 4x400 relay team.

I have no idea what he's up to, but he successfully walked on at Baylor, then transferred to Colorado, where he successfully walked on, as well, but he didn't see game action at either school.

Alfred "Bama" Pullom, a safety, made the varsity in 2010, his sophomore year. He was called "Bama" because... he's from Alabama. Sometimes, finding out the background to a nickname can be pretty easy. I believe that his father played for the Crimson Tide.

Bama became a three-year starter for the Wildcats and became an emotional leader for the defense. At Cy Woods, he was a two-time 2nd-team All-District 17-5A selection, earning those honors in 2011 and 2012. Bama played two seasons at Baylor. After redshirting in 2013, he made his debut for the Bears in 2014, primarily playing on special teams and recording 19 tackles for the season. He also had an interception in the Cotton Bowl against Michigan State.

Zack Khalil, a wide receiver, wore 12 in 2013, but he did not play due to an injury.

Reece Clark, a quarterback, wore 12 in 2014. He was promoted to the varsity in 2013, his junior year, and wore 38 (since 1-19 were all taken) and later 18. In 2014, he served as Nick Hooper's backup, but don't be fooled; Reece was very capable of commandeering the offense himself. He also pitched for the Wildcat baseball team.

I remember when Reece started out at Cy Woods... he was the freshman B-team quarterback. He went from that... to getting a walk-on opportunity at Oklahoma. That, in my opinion, is a testament to his tremendous work ethic. He got better every year he was at Cy Woods, and he ended up getting a well-deserved opportunity at OU. Freshman B-teamers can turn out to be pretty good players, too, if they put in the work that is expected of them.

Brandon Sustala, a wide receiver, wore #12 in 2015. Tyvon Alexander, a safety, wore it in 2016.

Chase Richter, a safety, was called up to the varsity early in 2017, his sophomore year. Chase is also an outfielder on the Wildcat baseball team. He switched to #4 for football in 2018.

Trajan Armstrong switched to 12 for his first full season on the varsity in 2019. A safety, he served as the fifth defensive back when the Wildcats deployed more than four defensive backs in a formation. He also took over punting duties once district play began. Trajan also runs track for the Wildcats.
