James "Jimmy" Schmitzer was the first player to wear 73. He was an offensive lineman who was called up in 2009, his sophomore year. He became a starter as a junior in 2010, playing mostly as a left tackle. Jimmy was a two-year starter on the offensive line and served as a team captain in 2011, his senior year.
Jimmy was a two-time 1st-team All-District 17-5A selection and played collegiately at Southwest Baptist, a Division II school located in Bolivar, Missouri.

Mario Treviño, an offensive lineman, made the varsity as a junior in 2015 and was a two-year starter for the Wildcats, primarily playing as a guard. He was chosen to serve as a team captain as a senior in 2016.
