Cy Woods All-Time Roster: Number 92

The first Wildcat to wear #92 was Tyler Weatherbee, a backup nose tackle. The strongest man in the program, Tyler also participated in powerlifting. His records in the weight room have been broken, but he is still remembered for his tremendous country strength.

Sadly, Tyler is no longer with us; he passed away in a car accident in 2009.

The next player to wear #92 was Dale Wright. He was a manager at Under Armour at the outlet mall in Fairfield for a while, but at some point a couple of years ago, I think he moved down to the outlets in Texas City to work at the Under Armour there. He also started a clothing company, NFG Premium Clothing, with some friends of his, but they've left that venture behind.

In 2010, his sophomore year, Jordan Cipriani was a midseason call-up to the varsity, and was given the number 92. He wore 91 in his final two years at Cy Woods.

With Jordan Cipriani switching to #91 in 2011, Matt Cooksey, a backup nose tackle, took this number that year.

Michaelangelo Williams, another reserve nose tackle, wore #92 in 2012.

Isiah Clay, who switched to #95 in 2014, wore #92 during his junior season in 2013.

Matt Luna, a nose tackle, wore #92 in 2015.

After serving as the starting left tackle in 2015, Ryan Kenny moved back to the defensive line in 2016 and became the starting nose tackle; he also served as a team captain that year.

Tyler Sherrill made the varsity in 2019, his junior year, and took this number. He earned 2nd-team All-District 14-6A honors in his first season. His twin brother, Parker, also plays for the Wildcats as a defensive lineman.
